September 17, 2008 - Newsletter # 10 and Mediators Report
This information will be sent to each members home along with a ballot. (Please note that Sec II will also be receiving a $1.00 market adjustment.) Ballots must be either returned and received in Edmonton, in the provided envelope by October 17, 2008 or be deposited at the Information Meetings that are currently being arranged (posters to follow) and once again must be in the sealed envelope provided. Ballots will be counted on October 21, 2008.
August 23, 2008 - Bargaining Newsletter # 9
AUPE Local 95 was called back to the bargaining table for August 19th and 20th. There are still key issues that remain "unresolved" These issues affect each and every member of this bargaining unit. We must continue backing the fight until this Employer hears us. Please attend the scheduled rallies (see under 'events') on your breaks if you are working or come back on your time off. "
July 18, 2008 - Bargaining Newsletter #8
Unfortunately we are unable to reach a fair and reasonable agreement with the Employer. OUR collective agreement and YOUR livelihood must be a priority for the Employer. We must ensure that it is made a major concern for the Employer - you must continue to come out and show the Employer that you are backing the fight!! Please see the meeting notice under the "events" section.
June 13, 2008 - Bargaining Newsletter #7
The Employer asked to meet June 12 & 13. However on June 12th the Employer was not willing to match the Market Adjustments given to the Alberta Cancer Board, offer improved Health Benefits, or match UNA Shift Differential or Premiums.
Due to this impasse the Employer stated there was no need to meet on June 13th. We will not be meeting till Mediation in July.
