The Edmonton Area Council is a group of AUPE members who are elected on the Chapter level during the AGM. We are committed to the family members of all ages of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees to organize fun events and discounted passes. Each Chapter has an elected member on the council but any Edmonton area member who wishes to participate is welcome! Area councils are the social arm of AUPE dedicated to the persuit of FUN, FUN, FUN!
We are looking for VOLUNTEERS! Do you like to meet new people? Make new friends? Smiles and laughter cannot be denied, area councils get the fun job and we need your help to make it happen. Have you ever used icing to draw on a cookie? Dressed up as Santa for your kids? Made snowcones? If this sounds like fun to you then you are just the person we're looking for! Go to the Contact Your Local segment of our website and send us your name and contact info or come out to our monthly meeting held the first Wednesday of the month at the Downtown AUPE office, details are posted in the News & Events segment of our website. Volunteering is rewarding and remember smiles are free!
