Local 60 is a Bargaining Unit of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) representing technologists, administrative, and clerical staff at the Alberta Research Council.
We have approximately 240 members spread over four locations in Alberta. Chapter 001 has about 170 members located in Calgary, Devon, and Edmonton. Chapter 002 has about 70 members in Vegreville.
The two chapters have their own executives - each with a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
The 2 Chapters also elect 4 Local Council Representatives.
The 8 Council Representatives from the 2 Chapters form the Local Council. From these eight members, the Local Council Executive is elected. (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and a Provincial Executive Representative)
