This is an excellent opportunity for health care workers from all walks of life across Alberta to come together to exchange ideas and strategies, as well as discuss new ways to aide our Health Care system.
“It is so important right now that AUPE members pull together, are strong and stand united to confront the many challenges we face said AUPE President Guy Smith. We have proven that as a union we are a strong and effective voice for our members and for all Albertans in protecting the services we proudly provide.
I hope that activists will leave this conference with a re-energized commitment to play a personal role in AUPE's mobilization campaign to connect, educate, inform, and activate AUPE members in their worksites and communities, he said. By doing so we will all be ensuring a brighter future for AUPE and its members
The Conference committee has put together an eclectic group of speakers this year. AUPE President Guy Smith, who has over 20 years experience as a Union Activist. Mr. Smith is a firm believer that our struggles can be won through grass roots mobilization and direct of the issues
