Local 044 Auxilary Nursing, are members consisting of the following classifications. Licenced Practical Nurses, Nursing Attendants (PSA, PCA, HCA.), Physiotherapy Attendants, Occupational Therapy Attendants, Home Support Aides, Physiotherapy Assistants, Orthopaedic Technicians, OR Technicians, Recreational Therapy Attendant, Mental Health Support Worker, Community Health Representive/Worker, Registered Dental Assistants,Mental Health Aides, Dialysis Assistants, Psychiatric Aides and such like classifications.
There are approxiamitely 1700 members and Local 044 represents members in the David Thompson Health Region.
Our Local Council consists of 21 members and meets quarterly in Red Deer. Local Council Representatives are elected from their Chapters with each Chapter electing one member to represent 100 members or portion of, in their Chapter.
